It doesn’t seem to take much these days for the supposedly tough and grizzled veteran journalists who cover the White House to become utterly aghast and offended as they get the vapors every other day due to something said by a member of President Donald Trump’s administration.
Take for example their reaction Tuesday after White House spokesman Sean Spicer asked American Urban Radio Network’s April Ryan to “please stop shaking your head” as he attempted to answer her pointed questions, according to the Independent Journal Review.
After Ryan had asked for the umpteenth time about alleged connections between Trump and the Russian government, Spicer declared, “At some point, report the facts. The facts are that every single person who has been briefed on this subject has come away with the same conclusion — Republican, Democrat. So I’m sorry that that disgusts you. You’re shaking your head.”
Ryan followed that up with a negatively framed question about Trump meeting with former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, an open Trump critic, but apparently continued to shake her head as Spicer attempted to frame a positive response. You can watch most of the exchange right here, but pay close attention to Spicer’s answer, as the media completely ignored it:

“It seems like you’re hellbent on trying to make sure that whatever image you want to tell about this White House stays,” Spicer stated, before being interrupted again by Ryan, adding, “You’re asking me a question and I’m going to answer it, which is, the president — stop shaking your head again.”
That exchange prompted a Twitter-meltdown of the snowflake journalists — much of it documented by Twitchy — who feel they can dish out attack after unsubstantiated attack but shrink like violets as soon as anything resembling pushback comes their way.
“Stop shaking your head again,” Spicer lectures @AprilDRyan, who is a grown woman.

Well Ms. Maggie Haberman, if Ryan really is a “grown woman,” then she should have no problem handling someone asking her to stop shaking her head “no” while he’s trying to answer he questions.
“Stop shaking your head again,” Spicer tells @AprilDRyan, who can do whatever she wants with her head

Indeed, Ryan most certainly can do whatever she wants with her head. Spicer, a “grown man” who also happens to be in charge of the White House press briefing room, can also do whatever he wants as well, such as ask a reporter to stop shaking her head disrespectfully while he is talking.
“Please stop shaking your head again,” Spicer says to veteran WH correspondent April Ryan.
That is some patronizing bullshit.

Spicer’s treatment of @AprilDRyan was pretty demeaning and insulting, tbh.

Hmmm … patronizing, demeaning and insulting … all words that adequately describe the manner in which the press corps and liberals in general have treated the Trump administration — and Spicer in particular — since even before the inauguration.
In truth, these and the many other outraged tweets from liberal journos only served to make Spicer’s point for him, vis-a-vis the mainstream media’s insistence on deliberately perpetuating negative storylines about Trump’s team in spite of anything newsworthy and positive that there may be to report.
