Fox News host Greg Gutfeld had a little fun on “The Greg Gutfeld Show” Saturday when he poked fun at MSNBC host Rachel Maddow for her on-the-air debacle regarding 11-year old tax returns of President Donald Trump that indicated that the president had paid his fair share of taxes.
Gutfeld began a brilliant spoof of Maddow by highlighting the left’s utter obsession with details that mean nothing and “facts” that lead nowhere — namely the so-called connection between Trump and Russia.
Gutfeld reported an “exclusive” about Maddow in the same way she reported on her “breaking” news about Trump’s taxes.
Gutfeld’s show happened to air on April Fools’ Day, but the best news was that the day also happened to be Maddow’s 44th birthday.
“Rachel Maddow was born on a day celebrated with the spreading of hoaxes,” he said. “A day that marks fake news!” he continued.
It doesn’t get much better than that.
Gutfeld revealed his astonished “proof” of Maddow’s birthday by holding up a copy of a Wikipedia page.
He drew other hilarious conclusions about Maddow and the Russians that made about as much sense as the Democrat narrative that Trump colluded with the Russians to win the election.
He made absurd points about how Maddow lived near the “Russian River” in California’s “Castro Valley” and said that the late Cuban dictator Fidel Castro had tried to replicate Russia’s murderous dictatorship.
He went on, connecting other amusing dots that included former Rep. Anthony Weiner, kielbasa, assault rifles and singer Ricky Martin until all points led back to Maddow — and Russia.
“It’s all coming together,” he said.
Coming together about like the left’s claim that Russia helped Trump win the election.
Take a look at the video below. He starts going after Maddow at about 3:10:
This spoof is funny because it’s full of truth about how the left operates. Gutfeld managed to imitate the hysterical way in which many reporters in the mainstream media cover news — with a frothing fervor that leads absolutely nowhere.
