Trump Responds to Womens March on DC Asks in Tweet Why They Didnt Vote

While America (or at least most of America) celebrated the peaceful transition of power on Jan. 20, on Jan. 21, hundreds of thousands of women in America took to the streets to protest President Donald Trump.

Holding ridiculous signs and spewing loads of hatred, these protests, which were ironically enough supposed to be against “hate,” jammed up entire city blocks all across America and were splashed across almost every front page in the world.

Trump took to Twitter, of course, to give his reaction to the protests, and what he tweeted triggered a lot of liberals, the U.K. Daily Mail reported.

“Watched protests yesterday but was under the impression that we just had an election! Why didn’t these people vote? Celebs hurt cause badly,” Trump tweeted.

He later acknowledged the protesters’ First Amendment right to demonstrate.

“Peaceful protests are a hallmark of our democracy. Even if I don’t always agree, I recognize the rights of people to express their views,” he wrote in a separate tweet.

Unsurprisingly, liberals immediately took to Twitter to fight back against Trump’s suggestion that many of the people who protesting didn’t bother to vote.

Many of the tweets directed at Trump noted how he had lost the popular vote by an estimated 3 million votes —  though that didn’t change his Electoral College victory.

The only problem with this liberal argument is that many of those 3 million votes came from California (and really only a few counties in California) and New York City.

If all the protesters who came out all over the country had actually voted, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton probably would have won. Instead, these folks were content to sit at home and do nothing, and then go complain when they didn’t get the result they wanted.

This is why Trump had so much support on Election Day — he isn’t afraid to bypass the lying liberal media and tell the American people the truth.

This wasn’t a popular vote election, it was an electoral vote election. These hypersensitive liberals need to remember that next time they start bandying about worthless numbers.
