Katie Rich, a writer for Saturday Night Live took to Twitter Friday, claiming President Donald Trump’s 10-year-old son, Barron, will eventually be a school shooter.
“Barron will be the country’s first homeschool shooter,” she tweeted amid the inauguration festivities taking place in Washington D.C..
Rich deleted the message three hours later following a torrent of outrage, according to TheBlaze.
Know your boundaries and what is acceptable @katiemaryrich @nbcsnl Sick jokes about a 10 year old are classless and go way too far.

The fact that writers and other people are willing to attack Barron Trump, a ten year-old, just shows how much we really needed change.

Her Twitter account has since gone into protected mode and her other tweets are no longer visible to the public.

It is not yet known whether Rich will face any disciplinary action from the show or NBC, but a petition has started on Change.org calling for Rich’s termination from the network.
It’s not the first time Barron Trump — who attends a private school and is not home-schooled — has been targeted on social media.
A seven-minute video surfaced on YouTube after the Republican National Convention that highlighted Barron’s behavior in a manner that suggested he might be autistic.
Then Rosie O’Donnell tweeted a link to the video on Nov. 22, saying, “Barron Trump Autistic? if so – what an amazing opportunity to bring attention to the AUTISM epidemic.”
O’Donnell faced major backlash for the tweet. The video and O’Donnell’s tweet have since been deleted but not before millions had viewed the video.
Melania Trump retained famed power lawyer, Charles J. Harder, to pursue the video’s creator.
In 2014, Republican congressional aide Elizabeth Lauten was forced to resign after criticizing President Barack Obama’s daughters, Sasha and Malia. In a Facebook post, Lauten took the duo to task for their behavior at a public event, saying they should try “showing a little class.” The incident garnered major national press.
