The 50th season of “Saturday Night Live” will introduce new faces while saying goodbye to a familiar one.
According to Deadline, the late-night sketch show has added Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim, and Jane Wickline to its cast.
Padilla, a member of the renowned improv group The Groundlings since 2021, has also appeared in “Night Court” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
Wakim, a Lebanese-American comedian, was named a New Face of Comedy at the 2022 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, the same year he made his debut on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
Wickline gained popularity through TikTok, where she stars in the show “Stapleview.” She is also set to appear in the 2024 Mubi film “My First Film” and is currently touring with her comedy performances.
As “SNL” expands its roster, current cast member Chloe Troast announced on social media that she will not return for the upcoming season. “Unfortunately, I was not asked back to SNL this season,” Troast wrote, adding that she will miss the close-knit friendships she made during her time on the show.
Punkie Johnson and Molly Kearney also previously revealed they will not be returning for Season 50.
The milestone season is expected to feature celebratory moments and political satire, with Maya Rudolph slated to occasionally reprise her role as Vice President Kamala Harris.
