C.E. Dyer reports that Occupy Democrats posted yet another ignorant meme (pictured below), this time about Republicans and President Donald Trump’s recent executive order halting entry into the U.S. for those from high-risk countries. These leftists conflate protecting the U.S. from terrorism and the murder of innocent babies in the womb.

There is a great deal of fake news out there about Trump’s executive order, particularly the idea that it is a “Muslim ban” which is incorrect. Legal Insurrection tore down a great deal of these accusations in an excellent piece recently — take a look at part of it below:

There is a postponement of entry from 7 countries (Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen) previously identified by the Obama administration as posing extraordinary risks. That they are 7 majority Muslim countries does not mean there is a Muslim ban, as most of the countries with the largest Muslim populations are not on the list (e.g., Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Nigeria and more).

Thus, the overwhelming majority of the Muslim world is not affected.

Moreover, the “ban” is only for four months 90 days while procedures are reviewed, with the exception of Syria for which there is no time limit.

There is a logic to the 7 countries. Six are failed states known to have large ISIS activity, and one, Iran, is a sworn enemy of the U.S. and worldwide sponsor of terrorism.

And, the 7 countries on the list were not even so-designated by Trump. Rather, they were selected last year by the Obama administration as posing special risks for visa entry, as even CNN concedes in passing:

“The order bars all people hailing from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. Those countries were named in a 2016 law concerning immigration visas as “countries of concern.”

The executive order also bans entry of those fleeing from war-torn Syria indefinitely.”

For leftists to compare the murder of innocent babies with protecting the U.S. from terrorism is shockingly disgusting.

Moreover, even if someone is a rose-colored-glasses-wearing Pollyanna that farts cotton candy, they would still have to recognize that there is only so much space and only so many resources, and that there are horrific things happening all over the world, but that doesn’t mean that we can open our doors and let everyone around the world into the U.S.

Even if we didn’t face the threat from terrorism it would threaten our very existence to do so. We don’t live in a utopia with unlimited resources.

Under this leftist “logic,” we need to open our doors and let everyone in the world that is suffering into the country — and in turn take more resources away from those in this country who are suffering (and create more suffering here as well) since the left likes to turn their backs on American citizens unless they can use them as pawns.

To further follow that line of logic, every leftist should open their home to everyone, both here and abroad, that has less than they do. They shouldn’t have anything extra other than their most basic of needs because others are suffering.

Yeah, that’s not going to happen.

In the meantime, the reasonable thing to do is to protect the U.S. from the forces that wish to tear us down and leave us unable to help anyone at all.

Most importantly, we should fight to change the culture of death perpetuated by leftists that tries to normalize the murder of the most innocent among us, who can’t speak for themselves inside the womb.

How dare anyone who supports abortion try and claim the moral high ground by using an image of a child that they believe should have had its life snuffed out in the womb if their mother considered them inconvenient.

That takes some nerve, and a truly frightening level of cognitive dissonance.
