Sensitive Snowflakes Create Surge for Therapists Months After Trump Win

President Donald Trump promised that he would be good for jobs, and he wasn’t wrong.

It is unlikely that when he spoke of job creation he meant creating new work for psychological therapists, but according to the Los Angeles Times, he has been bringing them a great deal of business.

The Times reported that therapist Arlene Drake, a veteran of the field for 35 years, has never seen so many clients talking about the same thing: Apparently, people have been so affected by Trump’s victory that they feel the need to seek counseling.

“It’s just a nightmare,” she said according to the Times. She revealed that although she was trained not to share personal beliefs, she now tells people that she doesn’t like Trump if they admit they’re anti-Trump.

That’s right. She breached her professionalism in the name of just letting other people know that they’re not alone in their liberal beliefs … in Los Angeles.

“If this were just another session, if this weren’t such a big thing, if this weren’t so evil, I wouldn’t,” said Drake “But I have to stand for what I stand for and that does cross over into politics.”

For crying out loud.

The phenomenon is not isolated to Los Angeles, however. The Times reported that therapists around the country have been discussing Trump a great deal.

It’s astounding to think that these people who post on social media “resist” and try to convince the world around them that they are so strong are really about as tough as a porcelain teacup.

Unfortunately, some of the Trump discussions are actually instigated by Trump supporters who feel so alone that they feel the only place they can discuss Trump safely in person is with their therapist.

Maybe they’re worried about being blindly labeled as “evil” or part of a “nightmare.”

I wonder where they would get that idea.
