Rand Paul Tweets Picture of Page of Obamacare Replacement Act

The left has been saying over and over again how the Republicans shouldn’t repeal Obamacare without a plan. Not only that, they keep insisting that there is no replacement plan.

Unfortunately for them, Sen. Rand Paul just smacked them down hard with one simple tweet.

On Saturday, the Kentucky Republican and one-time presidential candidate tweeted a picture of the first page of his draft replacement for the Affordable Care Act.

Paul was the lone Republican to vote against the budget that would repeal Obamacare, but not because of its repeal of President Obama’s signature piece of legislation. Fox News reported that he voted against it because he felt the deficit that the budget ran was too high.

The budget still passed 51-48 in the Senate, and scored a 227-198 passage vote in the House of Representatives.

House Speaker Paul Ryan said the budget “gives us the tools we need for a step-by-step approach to fix these problems and put Americans back in control of their health care,”

According to UPI, Paul said that his plan will “give access to the most amount of people, at the least amount of cost.”

“One of the key reforms that we will do is, we’re going to legalize the sale of inexpensive insurance,” Paul said during an appearance on CNN. “That means getting rid of the Obamacare mandates on what you can buy. We are going to help people save through health savings accounts, as well as a tax credit.”

“We’ve had six years to complain and we have complained. I’ve been one of those complaining about Obamacare,” Paul added. “The replacement bill that we put together, our goal is to insure the most amount of people, give access to the most amount of people, at least the amount of cost.”

After six years of Obamacare, that sounds like music to my ears.
