Punk Trump-Haters Torch Limo Learn Too Late It Belonged to Muslim Immigrant

President Donald Trump took his oath of office Friday, and while power was successfully transferred from one president to another, troublemakers in the streets prevented the process from being as peaceful as it could have been.

Protesters and rioters took to the streets of Washington, D.C., to express their great displeasure at, among a multitude of things, Trump’s supposed bigotry toward Hispanics and his alleged Islamophobia.

The rioters displayed their antipathy toward Trump by harassing and assaulting his supporters, smashing the glass doors and windows of un-involved businesses and destroying other private property, such as a limousine that was torched in front of the Washington Post building.

However, it was later discovered that the burned limo was owned by a Muslim immigrant and was driven by a Hispanic man — members of groups the protesters supposedly were defending from Trump, according to the Washington Examiner.

Muhammad Ashraf, owner of Nationwide Chauffeured Services LLC in Alexandria, Virginia, spoke with Red Alert Politics about what happened to him, his livelihood and one of his employees, and he was not happy at all.

“I have a different point of view,” Ashraf said of the president, whom he did not support. “I did not agree with many of the things he said, but that still does not give me the right to go and affect someone’s livelihood.”

Ashraf believed the destructive riots on Friday were ultimately counter-productive, and pointed toward the less violent Women’s March on Saturday as an example of more appropriate protesting.

Ashraf’s employee, a 58-year-old driver named Luis Villarroel, was forced to flee the limo after it was attacked by rioters, who pounded on the vehicle with various objects including rocks and bricks, ultimately smashing out the windows and setting the expensive car on fire.

Villarroel escaped from the madness bloodied by several cuts from broken glass and requiring medical attention at a hospital.

“(We’ve) been in business for over 25 years and this is the first time this has happened,” lamented Ashraf, who added that if insurance didn’t cover the total loss of his torched limo, he would end up being in the hole more than $70,000, not including the commission still owed the driver or the medical bills he had incurred.

Thankfully, though, other Americans are coming through where the protesters and rioters failed, making donations to a GoFundMe account set up on Ashraf’s behalf.

The person who set up that account, a fellow limousine service operator from Florida, confirmed that insurance doesn’t always cover damage incurred through vandalism or riots, nor will it cover refunds for cancelled reservations or the pay and expenses owed the driver.

This limo owner and his driver were ostensibly two individuals for whom the protesters and rioters would claim they were protesting and rioting, but they instead ended up as victims of Trump-haters.

While we certainly condemn the destructive actions of the rioters and lament the limo owner’s loss and the driver’s injuries, we can’t help but chuckle a bit at the utterly delicious irony of the situation.
