Nikki Bella Files for Divorce Two Weeks After Artem Chigvintsev’s Arrest on Domestic Violence Suspicion

Two weeks after former “Dancing with the Stars” dancer Artem Chigvintsev was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, his wife of two years, Nikki Bella, has filed for divorce.

According to online records from Napa County Superior Court, Bella submitted the petition on Wednesday.

Chigvintsev and Bella, a former WWE star, have been married since 2022 and have a four-year-old son together.

CNN has reached out to representatives for both Bella and Chigvintsev for comment.

Last month, Henry Wofford, public information officer for the Napa County Sheriff’s Department, informed CNN that Chigvintsev was arrested around 10 a.m. PDT on August 29 in Yountville on suspicion of felony domestic violence.

The investigation is still ongoing, Wofford noted. No further details about the incident or the parties involved have been released.

Chigvintsev gained prominence as a professional dancer and choreographer on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” where he competed for at least ten seasons. He and Bella first met as partners on Season 25 of the show.
