HORROR: Little Girl’s Face “Eaten Alive” After Relative Gives Her Kiss

A mother from Gloucester, England, felt helpless as she watched her toddler suffer from a horrific skin rash that appeared to be eating her daughter’s face alive.

Sienna Duffield allegedly caught the rash after a family member with a cold sore kissed her in October 2015, but it took months to get to the bottom of the matter, months of a horribly painful rash that spread from the girl’s lips to the tops of her eyes.

After one unsuccessful treatment after another, Sienna, 3, was finally diagnosed with the contagious herpes virus.

Her mother, Savina French-Bell, 21, has decided to share her story in an attempt to help other parents whose children have the same condition — or possibly prevent children from going through what her daughter endured.

“Sienna was being eaten alive by her skin infection,” French-Bell told the U.K. Metro.

“It came out of nowhere on her second birthday when she started developing ulcers in her mouth,” she said.

“It started to look like someone had thrown acid over her face It spread from her mouth to her cheeks, and above her eyes,” she continued.

“Every day her skin would be stuck to pillows and there would always be blood everywhere,” French-Bell explained.

“Doctors were shocked and for ages they had no idea what brought on Sienna’s virus,” French-Bell said.

After prescribing antibiotics for eight months with no success, doctors finally prescribed flucloxacillin to treat the severe rash. After that, Sienna’s skin condition began to improve.

It looks months for the toddler’s skin to return to normal because her immune system was so weak, but over time her skin began to look normal.

As odd as it may seem, kisses from someone with cold sores can be dangerous to babies.
