When you hear about a Harley rider wading into a brawl on the side of the road, you probably think about some sort of crazy biker brawl with brass knuckles and chains, probably over a woman or a drug deal gone bad.
However, what if I told you that one biker got involved in a fight to save an innocent dog getting mercilessly beaten by its owner?
That’s what biker Brandon Turnbow did. While motoring his Harley along Highway 171 in Texas, Turnbow noticed a vehicle pulled over to the side of the road. What he saw next absolutely sickened him.
“Was riding out to meet dad this morning an saw a vehicle pulled over on 171 with a worthless piece of crap beating an innocent little white dog,” Turnbow wrote.
“I watched in my rear view and saw this guy throw the dog into the air curbside and drive off.”
That’s when Turnbow decided to get involved. He turned his Harley right around and made sure he set things right.
“I went after the guy just to give him a number one sign,” Turnbow said. (I’m assuming he wasn’t using the index finger.)
But that wasn’t all. Turnbow had another announcement to make: “And I now have a copilot — Meet Mr. DAVIDSON.”
Now, tell me — how could anyone abuse a dog that cute? Davidson is adorable, and he finally has an owner who will treat him the way he deserves to be treated.
Turnbow even went as far as to start a group dedicated to bikers who are against animal cruelty, which currently has over 3,000 members on Facebook.
Also, as Turnbow is a country-western singer, he wrote a song called “Mr. Davidson” about his new friend.
“And you’ll never have to worry again in your life. ‘Bout getting kicked down and thrown to the side. We’ll always have fun and go riding in the sun, Mr. Davidson,” Turnbow sings.
After an unlucky start, it seems that Davidson definitely lucked out. Along with his brother Harley — a dog Turnbow already owned — Davidson is definitely living the good life.
