First Lady Melania Trumps White House Portrait Unveiled

The official White House portrait of the new first lady has just been unveiled.

In the portrait, first lady Melania Trump is seen posing in front of a window in the White House, dressed in a black jacket, with a black scarf around her neck.

While the photographer captured the first lady’s elegance and poise, there was another aspect that caught the attention of many viewers.

The photographer also captured the 25 carat diamond ring given to her by President Donald Trump to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary.

When news of the unveiling made its way to Twitter, the reactions were mixed.

Many people praised the first lady.

Others were critical.

@lynnelou2 @GregMcGregor4 @FoxNews @FLOTUS People that voted for him & are praising this portrait (behind it is one of the most tyrannical presidencies in history)don’t get out much.

A spokesperson for the first lady stated that the portrait was taken by photographer Regine Majaux the day after the president was inaugurated.

To go along with the unveiling of the portrait, the first lady released a statement, saying, “I am honored to serve in the role of First Lady, and look forward to working on behalf of the American people over the coming years.”

The 46-year-old Slovenia born former model became an American citizen in 2006.

In the history of the U.S., Trump is only the second foreign born first lady.

The first was Louisa Adams, the wife of John Quincy Adams, the sixth president of the United States.

The first lady has been criticized for her decision to remain in New York until their son Barron, 10, finishes the school year rather than move into the White House immediately.
