Donald Trump posted his fist tweet as president-elect, and it said just what his supporters would expect it to say. Trump sent the tweet to his 13.8 million followers early Wednesday morning, including a message of hope and compassion that echoed many of his speeches throughout his campaign.
“Such a beautiful and important evening! The forgotten man and woman will never be forgotten again. We will all come together as never before,” Trump said.
Trump referenced the vows he’s made over the past year that include preserving the dream of many Americans, taking care of our vets and reversing the damage that families have endured under the leadership of President Barack Obama.

Trump recognized the importance of his win because it reinforced that voters were just as much fed up with what was happening to America as he was. It was a beautiful night because voters stood together and told Democrats that they were sick and tired of the direction in which this country has been headed.
During his campaign, Trump railed against the failed policies that have driven this country into a state of deterioration and left families in decline. Yesterday, voters told him and the country in no uncertain terms they agree with him, and are looking for something better.
Trump’s tweet also reflected a sense of hope, because he expressed a belief that we can come together. Yesterday, voters said they were tired of the divisiveness that Obama has created. Trump has said that America can be great again, and the people want to give him a chance to do it.
If this tweet sets the stage for the rest of Trump’s presidency, we’re in for some amazing times.
