DHS Chief Wants to Hire Thousands More Agents Expedite Deportation Hearings

President Donald Trump vowed when he was campaigning that he would crack down on illegal immigration in ways that had never been seen before, and so far he is following through on that promise.

Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly has helped make Trump’s campaign promise a reality with a series of new proposals to help speed up deportations, Fox News reported.

Kelly’s plan to get tough on illegal immigration involves hiring thousands more federal agents to help round up illegals, and speeding up deportation hearings.

The memos that Kelly signed call for hiring 10,000 additional ICE officers, as well as 5,000 new Customs and Border Protection Agency workers.

CNN reported that the new guidelines will make it easier to deport illegals by shortening the court proceedings involved.

The memos also leave in place former President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals executive order, but mention that it will be reviewed in the future.

The Washington Post noted that it is possible the final drafts of the memos will have some changes, as they are currently being reviewed by the White House counsel’s office.

These memos are a sort of blueprint to enforce the executive orders that Trump signed a few weeks ago regarding illegal immigration in the United States.

Undoubtedly these new measures will cause liberal tears to flow like a mighty river, but there is very little they can do about it other than scream in the streets and act like children.

The American people want the government to get tough on illegal immigration; that’s one reason Trump was voted into office.

Once these memos are approved, Americans can finally breathe a sign of relief knowing that their government is actually working to protect American citizens from illegal immigrants and enforcing the nation’s laws.
