BREAKING: Trump Breaks 28-Year-Old GOP Shutout in Michigan

The last part of the electoral map has finally been filled in, and it’s been filled in as bright red.

According to the Detroit Free Press, over three weeks after the electoral victory of Donald Trump, he finally scored his biggest single-state upset, taking the state of Michigan.

Michigan’s secretary of state certified the results Wednesday, declaring Trump the victor in Michigan by 10,702 votes over Hillary Clinton.

That gave Trump a 47.6 percent to 47.3 percent victory over his Democratic challenger, according to RealClearPolitics. A polling average before Election Day showed Clinton ahead 45.4 to 42.0.

It also marked the first time that Republicans have won the Great Lakes State in 28 years, ever since then-Vice President George H.W. Bush’s electoral romp over former Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis.

“Many people have asked about Michigan’s process for counting ballots and certifying election results. Please be aware that all 1,521 Michigan cities and townships completed ballot counting and reported unofficial results by the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 9,” a statement on the secretary of state’s website read. “The county canvassing boards, as they do after every election, then began their work to review and certify the results from each precinct.”

The results will be certified on Nov. 28. They put Trump at 306 electoral votes, making a reported long-shot Electoral College challenge by disaffected Democrats even less likely to succeed.

However, the decision was already being challenged by an unlikely source — Dr. Jill Stein, the nominee of the Green Party. According to The Hill, Stein has raised $4.5 million to challenge the results in three states — Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — because of hacking allegations. This was in spite of the fact that no credible hacking allegations even existed.

“After a divisive and painful presidential race, reported hacks into voter and party databases and individual email accounts were causing many American (sic) to wonder if our election results are reliable,” Stein said in a statement. “These concerns need to be investigated before the 2016 presidential election is certified.”

Sore losers will be sore losers. However, Stein and Clinton should do what the left was saying Trump should do when they thought he would lose — accept the results. Please like and share on Facebook and Twitter if you agree.
