Actress and commentator Stacey Dash speculated Tuesday that President Donald Trump specifically limited his moratorium on immigration from terror-prone nations to 90 days because of intelligence to which he had access but the American public did not.
“The fact that he gave (a) specific amount of days — 90 days — don’t we want to trust that maybe he has some intel that he doesn’t want to tell everyone?” she said during an exclusive interview with Conservative Tribune sister company USA Radio.
Dash, perhaps best known for her role in 1995’s “Clueless,” has in more recent years made a name for herself with her insightful — and often politically incorrect — political commentary on Fox News and other media outlets, as well as her 2016 book, “There Goes My Social Life: From Clueless to Conservative.”

The thesis was reasonable and could very well fit. Perhaps the president has been made aware of an imminent terror attack that he hoped to stop by temporarily barring immigration from those nations where the terrorists were located.
Note, however, that even without this particular justification, the moratorium is nevertheless 100 percent constitutional, as well as reasonable — because, as Homeland Security Secretary Gen. John Kelly made clear to Congress Tuesday, “The threat is real.”
“There are thousands of fighters who are available and have — we have pretty good confidence — have the kind of papers that could get them passed into Western Europe, and certainly, by extension, into the United States,” he testified, as reported by CNS News.
The president hoped to thwart this sort of infiltration by allowing the federal government at least 90 days to develop more thorough screening measures designed to keep would-be terrorists from stepping foot inside the United States.
Available for review at the White House website, the executive order specifically stated its intentions “(t)o temporarily reduce investigative burdens on relevant agencies during the review period … to ensure the proper review and maximum utilization of available resources for the screening of foreign nationals, and to ensure that adequate standards are established to prevent infiltration by foreign terrorists or criminals.”
Dash made a very interesting point — perhaps there is more to this executive order than meets the eye. Perhaps the 90-day window was set specifically to keep a certain terrorist or group of terrorists out of the nation.
If that’s the case, the liberals fighting the order could end up directly responsible for the next terror attack on the U.S. homeland — and they won’t be able to say they weren’t warned.
