2 Students Refuse to Pull Up Saggy Pants, So Tenn. School Teaches Instant Lesson in Respect

On top of being a bunch of babies incapable of hearing words that they don’t like, millennials are also the generation that have brought us the art of wearing pants around your ankles as a form of fashion.

WREG reported that two unnamed seniors from Bolivar Central High School in Tennessee spent 48 hours in jail after they refused to pull up their pants in school.

The punishment occurred in November after the students were disciplined multiple times for wearing their pants too low — a trend that’s infuriated people elsewhere. It was not immediately clear how breaking a school policy against low pants resulting in these children being in jail.

Some people are saying that the school went too far in its discipline, while others are saying that it’s about time these kids were taught a lesson.

“You do got to be presentable at school. But, doing 48 hours! Ain’t nobody doing that,” one man told WREG.

Another stated that the older generation of students is supposed to set an example for those who follow, and kids looking like trash was setting a bad example.

“Because the environment is already bad. And it ain’t going to get any better if the older kids don’t try to show the younger kids anything,” he said.

Others suggested that the idea was good, but maybe the school should do something a little less severe.

“Maybe we have them do some community service, pick up some trash, help at the dog kennels, things like that,” one woman told the station. “I think putting them in jail is just a little bit much.”

“Kids, keep you pants up at school. But if you’re out here and you buy your own clothes, then you wear them the way you want to wear them,” said another person interviewed.

It’s possible that the school went too far in this punishment, but it’s nice to see someone finally trying to curb back on the amount of stupidity in society these days.
