Two anti-jihad advocates in Britain exchanged words with members of the country’s liberal media just after the terror attack in London.
Tommy Robinson, former leader of the anti-Islamist English Defence League, was being interviewed outside Parliament just after news of the attacks began to spread by Caolan Robertson, a filmmaker and contributor to the conservative website The Rebel Media.
While details about the attacker remained unclear, Robinson used it as an example to prove Britain was at “war” with Islamic fundamentalists and warned about the Islamization of the United Kingdom.
Other reporters at the scene questioned the two men, implying they were jumping to conclusions by immediately blaming the attack on Islamic terrorism, but Robinson wasted no time schooling them.
He explained that instructions for these kinds of attacks with vehicles, which have been carried out in Israel and Europe, can be found online and are promoted by an Al Qaeda online terrorism magazine, Inspire.
“They want war, they want death, they want destruction — and we keep on pandering, like you just came up to me, saying ‘it’s got nothing to do with Islam,’” he said. “It’s got everything to do with Islam.”
When a reporter suggested Robinson was too quick to call the incident a terrorist attack, he shot back: “This is the reality. The reality is these people are waging war on us.”
“This has been going on for 1,400 years, and while it’s going on, the police leaders and the political leaders want to invite more,” he said, before walking away.
Robertson also addressed onlookers who he thought were laughing at Robinson, saying that blood was on their hands.
“This country has been f***ed by people like this who thinks it’s hilarious (when) anybody criticizes Islam, and that they’re some ‘scummy, lower class racist,’” he said.
Take a look at the confrontation below (WARNING: strong language):
It turned out that Robinson and Robertson were correct, of course. According to The U.K. Telegraph, the attacker’s violent extremism caused him to be the subject of an investigation some 10 years ago. The Telegraph also reported that the Islamic State terror group claimed the attacker was one of its soldiers.
These two men represent a movement among citizens who are fed up with lax governments and their political correctness, governments that coddle terrorists and do nothing to protect their citizens.
