Former President George W. Bush has pouted throughout the 2016 presidential campaign after his younger brother, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, was ousted from the primary.
Rumors have swirled that several members of the Bush clan would vote for Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton, however, a spokesman confirmed that Bush and his wife, Laura, voted for neither candidate.
Bush spokesman, Freddy Ford, said that the former president and his wife voted “none of the above for president and Republican down-ballot,” according to the The Associated Press.

While Bush didn’t vote for Clinton, he might as well have. His refusal to vote for GOP nominee Donald Trump followed his petulant refusal to endorse him during the campaign.
Trump and Jeb Bush had a heated primary battle, and even though Bush had an enormous amount of support behind him — money and establishment backing — he still couldn’t beat Trump.
The behavior of the former president likely wasn’t just about Jeb either, but rather a response to his family’s era being over.
Trump’s presidential win showed that the people have had their fill of an establishment — on both sides of the aisle– that has sold them out.
The saying that there’s a black sheep in every family held true for the Bush clan as George P. Bush, who serves as Texas Land Commissioner, announced in August that people needed to get behind Trump, according to Breitbart.
Back in early August, George P. Bush told the Texas State Republican Executive Committee “it’s a bitter pill to swallow, but you know what? You get back up and help the man who won, and you make sure that we stop Hillary Clinton.”
The people have spoken and it is clear, the establishment era is over and the Bush family, instead of letting go gracefully, has chosen to go down in flames.
Whatever floats your boat, I guess. Or sinks it.
