A woman had to endure hours of sexual assault from a stranger during their 14-hour flight from India to Newark, New Jersey.
According to the U.K. Daily Mail, Ganesh Parkar was arrested immediately upon touchdown in the American city for his grotesque actions.
Parkar was originally placed in an expensive business class seat for the flight. However, before the flight began, he moved to an economy seat, next to an unidentified sleeping woman.
The woman woke up several times during her flight to find her blanket pulled down, but thought nothing of it — that is, until she finally woke up to see the man fondling her breast under her shirt.
When airline attendants found out about the incident, they ordered the man to move back to his seat. But that didn’t stop him from harassing the innocent woman.
Throughout the rest of the long flight, the man sent paper messages to his victim, simply saying, “I’m sorry.” Parkar tried to approach the woman multiple times, but was stopped by the airline attendants.
That’s when he sent even more messages saying, “I’m stupid.”
According to the New York Daily News, Parkar could face up to two years in jail and a $250,000 fine if convicted. But is this enough time for someone who violated another human being without her knowledge?
Hopefully the law will give this man exactly what he deserves.
