Wikileaks has just released a series of documents showing CIA espionage efforts directed at French candidates during France’s 2012 presidential elections.

Among recent news of Russia’s DNC hack, Wikileaks has struck again, and what they’ve revealed sheds light on the U.S.’s own efforts to spy on foreign candidates.

The Daily Caller reports:

The seven pages of documents appear to be classified orders for intelligence operatives to gather information regarding candidates’ political strategies and internal communications. WikiLeaks’ release of the documents comes amid growing tensions between Trump and the intelligence community over leaks of classified information that have portrayed people close to Trump in a negative light.

The documents reveal that the C.I.A. asked Canada among other nations to aid them in their spying efforts
