Wikileaks Founder: Obama Is Trying to Delegitimize Trump

Speaking Tuesday evening with Fox News host Sean Hannity, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange expressed his fervent belief that the Obama administration’s obsession with alleged Russian hacking was rooted in a desire to impede the incoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump.

“They are trying to say that President-elect Trump is not a legitimate president,” his said, the premise being that by delegitimizing Trump’s rightful election victory, the administration could rob him of the mandate to govern as he deems fit.

Pivoting his attention to President Barack Obama, Assange then claimed that he was “acting like a lawyer” by issuing indirect allegations versus concrete statements.

“He doesn’t say that WikiLeaks obtained its information from Russia, worked with Russia,” the WikiLeaks founder stated. “He doesn’t say — from the statements that I have read — that Russia was trying to influence the election for Donald Trump.”

Much like the intelligence report issued last week, Obama’s statements regarding allegations that Russian agents hacked the Democrat National Committee have been overflowing with vague terminology and major inconsistencies.

Or as liberal liberal Matt Taibbi wrote for Rolling Stone magazine this weekend, “Something about this Russia story stinks.”

Regarding accusations by liberals that WikiLeaks’ email releases affected the outcome of the 2016 presidential election, Assange maintained that it was the corrupt behavior of the Democrats seen in the published emails that made the ultimate difference.

In a post published to Facebook shortly after the interview aired Tuesday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin somewhat concurred with this assessment, though she noted that had it not been for WikiLeaks, nobody would have known of the corruption.

“This important information that finally opened people’s eyes to democrat candidates and operatives would not have been exposed were it not for Julian Assange,” she wrote.

Concluding the interview, Assange again reiterated his long-standing assertion that the Russians were not responsible for hacking the DNC.

“Our source is not a state party,” he said.
