President-elect Donald Trump’s transition has been covered in what seems to be unprecedented fashion — something that has set the rumor mill into overdrive. Of the many reports out there, this one about who Trump may choose for press secretary will leave many of his supporters quite pleased.

Fox News’ Monica Crowley, an outspoken Trump supporter, is reportedly in the running for White House Press Secretary, according to Politico.

BizPac Review reported:

While conservative talk radio host Laura Ingraham, Republican National Committee chief strategist Sean Spicer and Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway have been floated as being among Trump’s choices to fill this position, Crowley’s name has been cropping up lately, Politico reported.

Crowley, who was an early and loyal supporter of the president-elect, is also a columnist for the Washington Times and has had prior experience working with presidents — specifically, Richard Nixon, after he left office.

It was Crowley who observed early on in a column that Trump was resurrecting the “silent majority,” a term used by Nixon to describe his own constituency.

Ingraham, who also served as a Reagan speechwriter before embarking on a successful radio program along with authoring numerous successful books, has been more vocal about the potential role than Crowley has so far. Politico reported:

Ingraham has confirmed that her name is in the mix and hinted, in her public comments addressing the speculation, that she wants a role in shaping the Trump agenda. But she apparently wants a title that elevates her beyond just dominating the spin cycle.

“It’s a big decision, but I’m at the point where, if my country needs me, and if I can do something to actually, you know, advance the Trump agenda, which is stuff I have written about now for 15 years, with trade, immigration and just renewing America, then I obviously have to seriously consider that,” she told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson.

It would be very interesting to see if there could be a position for both Ingraham and Crowley (and others that have been considered). Given the bias in the mainstream media, Trump is absolutely going to need to focus on getting his message out to the public, and expanded roles in the press game could be a smart move.

Twitter users expressed their excitement about a potential press secretary role for Crowley:

Trump has some tough decisions ahead of him and, as we’ve seen with the press secretary position, quite a few excellent people to choose from.

That said, I’d love to see Ann Coulter as press secretary. Not sure if she’d take it, but it would be epic. Given the many qualified people Trump has to choose from, it’d be tough for him to go wrong here.
