WATCH: Rev. Graham Says God Had a Role in Electing Trump to White House

Rev. Franklin Graham is certain beyond doubt that President-elect Donald Trump’s 2016 election victory was driven by “God’s hand.”

“I believe — no question — that God’s hand was in it,” he told Fox News host Abby Huntsman early Sunday morning, adding though that God intervened specifically because of the American people.

“They were praying that God would change this and put somebody in the White House that believed in God, and would listen to God’s voice,” he said, noting that this was a common theme he encountered during his campaign tour last year of the 50 state capitals.

“These were statewide prayer rallies where people came from every district, every county,” he continued. “They came by the hundreds and  thousands, and they stood on the Capitol steps and prayed … for this nation, because they knew this country was going in the wrong direction.”

It was increasingly leaning more toward secularism, atheism and humanism versus the word of God as had been prescribed centuries ago in the Bible’s Old Testament New Testaments. And this disastrous change was being led by President Barack Obama.

“And I could tell as I was going across this country that God was getting ready to do something in this country,” Graham added.

Apparently, he was right. Listen to his full statement below:

Before Obama took office in 2009, being a Christian was generally viewed as a positive trait. But because of the president’s incessant attacks on Christianity via his promotion of abortion, homosexuality, hypersexuality and even Islam, the ancient religion’s standing in the country has plummeted

By 2015, it was clear that “(t)he Christian share of the U.S. population (was) declining, while the number of U.S. adults who do not identify with any organized religion (was) growing,” as was noted in May of that year by the Pew Research Center.

Perhaps Rev. Graham was right and God had intervened in the 2016 election to steer America back to the right path. Perhaps not. Either way, one thing was for certain — President-elect Trump will be far more welcome to conservative Christians than Obama was or ever could be.
