Watch Kid Rock Catapult Foreign-Made Grills and Shoot Them Out of the Sky

Perhaps because of President Donald Trump’s popularity, or maybe one of the factors in that popularity, there has been an increased push for American consumers to purchase American-made products.

This movement is wholeheartedly backed by Detroit-born, all-American music star Kid Rock, who is promoting a line of 100 percent American-built portable barbecue grills, unsurprisingly named after one of Rock’s most popular songs, the “American Badass” grill, according to Fox News.

Rock recently posted a video to social media as an advertisement for his new grills, depicting him shooting a foreign-made grill with a 12-gauge shotgun after it had been flung into the air with a makeshift trebuchet, an ancient weapon of siege warfare.

“You know what’s American?” the video’s host asked. “Catapulting foreign-made grills through the sky and shooting them down because they stink!” You can watch the ad right here:

“This is what we think of ‘Made in China,’” Rock declared before pumping several rounds into the Chinese-manufactured grill, adding afterwards, “In your face, China!”

“I’m not gonna lie. It is more expensive to make things in America. But it’s important to me,” declared Rock in a statement announcing the grill. “I love America, and I want to do all I can to create manufacturing jobs at home.”

According to The Detroit News, Rock’s “American Badass” grills are part of the Trump-supporting rock star’s effort to “make grilling great again” with American-made products.

“If you can get something made in America, number one, the quality is going to be better,” said Rock in one of his social media commercials. “Win, win, win, win, win, all the way around.”

The small and portable keg-shaped grills are advertised as being able to hold as many as 12 hamburger patties at a time, and sell for $99.95 for a charcoal version and $149.95 for a gas version, and come embossed with a large “American Badass” eagle logo.

Shooting at just about anything flying through the air with a shotgun is pretty fun no matter what, but this clip seemingly takes that normal enjoyment to another level as Kid Rock is literally shooting his competition down.
