First lady Melania Trump became emotional during Marlana VanHoose’s chilling rendition of “How Great Thou Art” during the Inaugural Prayer Service at the Washington National Cathedral.
According to Breitbart, Trump wiped tears from her eyes during the song, which was one of the highlights of the Inauguration Day event.
The gospel song was sung by 20-year-old VanHoose, who is blind and suffers from mild cerebral palsy.
The Washington Examiner reported that the young singer also performed at the Republican National Convention in July.
You can see Melania Trump wiping tears from her eyes around 0:37, right before the congregation gave the singer a standing ovation:
The song seems to have struck a chord in the Trump family. President Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr. also tweeted about the performance.
“One of the most incredible and moving performances I’ve seen from yesterday’s #NationalPrayerService,” he wrote.

The mainstream media will not report the Trump family’s reaction to the emotional performance, because it humanizes the famous first family. Instead, the media chooses to focus on actions and words by President Trump aimed at turning Americans against the businessman-turned-politician.
We agree that the performance was beautiful and were likewise moved by VanHoose’s rendition of the Christian hymn. If you haven’t seen it yet, take a minute to watch the whole performance on Donald Trump Jr.’s Twitter posting. You’ll be moved, too.
