Liberals like to accuse Republicans (especially President Donald Trump) of being insensitive to just about everything, but ironically it is often liberals themselves who do the most offensive things.
Univision, which has frequently blasted Trump for things he has said, is now on the receiving end of criticism after it made the moronic decision to recreate the Pulse nightclub shooting for one of its television shows, NBC News reported.
“Baño De Sangre,” which translated means “Blood Bath,” will run on the news program “Crónicas De Sábado” and feature interviews with survivors of the terror attack as well as a recreation of the massacre using actors and special effects.
Univision was forced to take down a trailer for the show after outcry on social media. It has since released a statement defending its decision to create the episode.
“Univision has set out to create a report that is deeply respectful of the many people whose lives were impacted by this tragedy, and, at the same time, is faithful to the facts underlying this horrible crime,” the statement explained.
The New York Daily News reported that Pulse owner Barbara Poma wrote on Facebook that she was “sickened” by what Univision had decided to do.
“I am sickened by Univision’s senseless act of exploitation, which is clearly a sleazy attempt to shock and attract viewers,” she wrote.
Trump may have said some questionable things over the course of the campaign, but nothing he did even came close to this level of insensitive idiocy.
The folks over at Univision should be ashamed of themselves. They owe the survivors of the worst mass shooting in American history an apology, and they should seriously reconsider their decision to broadcast that horrific reenactment.
