US Army Vet Slams Dems for Having Post-election Stress Disorder

Ever since the moment that news announcers across the nation stated that billionaire businessman Donald Trump had defeated former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for the presidency in November, shell-shocked liberals having been acting irrationally, particularly in Democrat urban strongholds and on university campuses.

According to CNN, doctors across America are coining these outbreaks of idiocy “post-election stress disorder.” But according to Fox News, it’s a term that isn’t sitting well with many veterans who’ve actually done something important and served their country.

U.S. Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla., who lost both legs and a finger to an enemy improvised explosive device in Afghanistan, went on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” this week to blast liberals who are claiming to suffer psychological trauma because of Trump’s presidency.

“There was a big missed opportunity in naming it ‘Post-Election Stress Disorder,’” Mast scofffed. “I would have preferred they name it ‘Post-Inauguration Stress Disorder,’ that way they could have called it ‘PISD.’”

Mast went on to say that he understands some Clinton voters were disappointed, but said that’s nothing nothing compared to what American soldiers experienced on the field of battle in the Middle East.

“I have empathy for maybe the stress that’s in people’s lives as a result of this election,” he said. “That doesn’t mean that there is any real comparison to service members that have been targeted by snipers, that have been blown up, that have had to take the lives of their enemies, that have had their uniforms stained by the blood of their friends, or have had to bury friends. There’s not a comparison between the two, in my opinion.”

Mast is absolutely right. Not getting your way in an election and having to fight a war are two completely different things. All liberals have to do is wait four or eight more years and they will have another chance to win (they’ll probably lose, but it’ll be a chance).

However, soldiers can never get back comrades they have lost, cannot grow new legs, can never unsee some of the horrors that they have witnessed overseas.

To try to compare PTSD to some post-election psycho garbage is disgusting, and medical professionals ought to be ashamed of themselves for coming up with such a ridiculous term.
