CNN pundits declared Tuesday that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump had gone too far in denouncing media bias.

Nonetheless, 10,000 people packed into a Trump rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., on Monday, responding enthusiastically when Trump turned his speech on the media.

“I’m telling you, they are so dishonest. Without the media, Hillary Clinton couldn’t be elected dog catcher,” Trump told the crowd. “CNN is a disgrace.”

Then came a moment that brought a grin to the billionaire’s face as the crowd chanted loudly, “CNN sucks! CNN sucks!”

The phrase then began to become popular on Twitter.

CNN’s reporters were not the least amused.

“I get why people criticize the media; often, it is with good reason,” said New Day anchor Chris Cuomo Tuesday. “But I think this is very high on the list of irresponsible things the guy has done.”

Cuomo claimed NBC’s Katy Tur, “had to be walked to her d— car by the Secret Service because of what came out of his face.”

“This is much, much worse than what we’ve seen in the past,” said CNN correspondent Brian Stelter. “Donald Trump is routinely lying to his supporters about the media.”

CNN’s Bill Carter said it is a “mob mentality,” in which Trump supporters revile the media.

However, CNN’s complaints come a day after Fox News host Bill O’Reilly affirmed that some media organizations are taking an active role to defeat Trump.

At least three media organizations have “ordered their employees to destroy Donald Trump,” said O’Reilly, who said he is “100 percent convinced” there is a media plot against Trump.

“I’m talking about big conglomerates. … News organizations have sent, not officially but through the corporate grapevine, (word) that we don’t want anybody supporting Trump. If you study it, you can see which ones they are,” O’Reilly said.
