Trump To Spend Christmas In Mar-a-Lago

President-elect Donald Trump has been working furiously over the past several weeks to interview hundreds of people for the various governmental jobs that need to be filled before he takes the oath of office.

Trump has also been holding a series of “thank you rallies” around the nation in various swing states that helped him defeat former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in November.

Trump’s last rally of 2016 is scheduled to take place in Alabama on Saturday, and after that Trump plans to spend next week at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Breitbart reported.

“The President-elect will be in Mar-a-Lago this evening and I would expect him … to be in Palm Beach for most of, if not all of this next week,” Trump spokesman Jason Miller told reporters.

Trump planned to send Christmas with his family, which should be a welcome break from the never-ending series of meetings and other tasks he has been engaged in over the past month.

The Miami Herald noted that Trump was also expected to stay at the resort for New Year’s as well. WPEC reported that security measures were being put in place and were expected to remain effective through Jan. 3.

It is unclear whether Trump planned to continue working throughout the holiday. Trump shocked many people when he tweeted on Thanksgiving that he was working with Carrier on a deal to save almost 1,000 American jobs.

Trump has promised to work hard for the American people, and so far he has spent every day doing that. Trump has interviewed, and nominated, some of the best people this country has to offer for important Cabinet positions.

Trump is the type of leader we need — a leader who understands what the American people want and will do what it takes to restore the promise of America for everyone.

This will be Trump’s last Christmas for at least the next four years when he won’t be swamped with the duties of the presidency. Hopefully he will take the day off and enjoy it — he certainly has earned it!
