Trump Snags Another… Crowley Goes to Trump Admin

Fox News analyst Monica Crowley is leaving her high-profile job for another one in President-elect Donald Trump’s administration.

According to The Hill, Crowley accepted the position of senior director of strategic communications for the National Security Council on Dec. 16. Not surprisingly, Fox News immediately terminated Crowley’s contract.

She said it was not a hard decision to leave Fox News. “I am deeply honored, humbled and grateful to be asked by the president-elect to join the extraordinary national security team he is assembling,” Crowley said.

“With vision, courage and moral clarity, he is committed fully to re-establishing America’s singular place in the world. He is also committed to selecting the best people for the jobs of keeping the American people safe and the country secure. It will be a great privilege to serve with them,” she added.

The Daily Beast reported that Crowley was also being considered for the coveted job of White House press secretary before the president-elect decided her talents were best used elsewhere.

Crowley has extensive experience in politics, and even served as foreign policy assistant to former President Richard Nixon. She also worked as an opinion editor for The Washington Times. Her last article, aptly entitled “Donald Trump and the Art of Getting it Done,” praised the president-elect for his efforts to boost the economy and bring workers back to the United States.

Crowley is not the first Fox News personality Trump has snagged to work for him.

K.T. McFarland was also chosen to serve in the Trump administration’s national security team as deputy national security adviser.

Fox News has not yet commented on Trump’s decision.
