In a move that certainly predicts a new era where celebrities we can admire will be welcome in the White House, Sylvester Stallone has revealed that he will spend New Year’s Eve with President-elect Donald Trump, according to The Daily Caller.

Trump’s annual New Year’s Eve bash at Mar-a-Lago, his Florida estate, is a thing to behold. There are 800 people on the guest list. The evening begins with cocktails, then moves to a dinner hour, followed by dancing in the Grand Ballroom.

Stallone is beloved by most conservatives as he starred in a string of the most patriotic films ever, always representing the American ideals of toughness, bravery and self-sacrifice. He stands for the classic rags-to-riches story that represents the American dream. And he admires Trump.

“I love Donald Trump,” he told Variety. “He’s a great Dickensian character. You know what I mean? There are certain people like Arnold, Babe Ruth, that are bigger than life.”

Though Sly declined an offer to take over the National Endowment for the Arts or another role in the Trump administration, according to MSN, he said he’d be interested in doing something in support of the armed forces.

Whether in uplifting entertainment or supporting veterans, this is one celebrity who is willing to serve our country.

The New Year’s Eve event will conclude Trump’s 2 weeks at Mar-a-Lago. His “holiday” has mostly been filled with meetings with advisers and interviews for remaining cabinet positions. Clearly, this is an administration that intends to hit the ground running.

The moment the party’s over, Trump returns to New York to prepare for his Jan. 20 inauguration.

In the years to come, conservatives look forward to a White House where celebrities who show respect for the office, for the public and for themselves are invited to represent the best in American values.
