At his news conference on Wednesday, President-elect Donald Trump blasted CNN and BuzzFeed for promoting “fake news” that was designed to smear his name and had almost no basis in reality.
Immediately, the delicate liberals who work at the various mainstream media outlets began fanning themselves furiously and criticizing Trump for having the audacity to attack a media network.
All Trump did at his news conference was refuse to take a question from a CNN reporter and call his organization “fake news,” after CNN published a completely false story about him.

Obama’s attacks on Fox News were part of his much broader attacks on Republicans and average Americans. Obama repeatedly criticized Fox News and claimed that it was responsible for the Democrats losing so much.
“It’s a point of view that I think is ultimately destructive for the long-term growth of a country that has a vibrant middle class and is competitive in the world. But as an economic enterprise, it’s been wildly successful,” Obama said about Fox News in 2010.
“There’s a reason fewer are running against Obamacare,” Obama stated in 2014, “because while good, affordable health care might still be a fanged threat to freedom on Fox News, it’s working pretty well in the real world.”
Obama made similar remarks about Fox News and Obamacare in 2013, which you can see below.
“In 2008 I was never subjected to the kind of concentrated vilification of Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, the whole conservative-media ecosystem, and so as a consequence, even for my first two years as a senator I was polling at 70 percent,” Obama stated in 2016.
Perhaps the most damning Obama-Fox News quote came after Trump won the 2016 election.
“Part of it is Fox News in every bar and restaurant in big chunks of the country,” he stated in an interview with Rolling Stone, explaining why Democrats lost so badly in 2016.
Obama also refused to give many interviews to Fox News during his two terms. Apparently he was just too scared to be challenged by actual journalists who would ask him real questions.
Trump has had far more reason to attack CNN than Obama ever did to attack Fox News, yet as usual the media have given Obama a free pass and ripped into Trump.
