Trump Becomes First President to Use Words Islamic and Urban in Inaug Address

On Friday, President Donald Trump gave an inaugural speech that will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the most powerful ever.

In the speech, Trump took Washington politicians to task for making themselves richer at the expense of the American people. Trump also used the speech to utter two words that have never before been spoken in an inaugural address, Breitbart reported.

Trump used the words “Islamic” and “urban” in his address, becoming the first president in history to do so — and also showing just how serious he is about confronting the threats facing Americans.

Trump’s address painted a picture of an America that has been betrayed by the Washington establishment — but an America that he planned to restore to its former glory.

Trump made defeating radical Islam and fixing America’s broken inner cities a staple of his stump speeches throughout his campaign, and he appeared to be keeping to those promises with his campaign speech.

“We are one nation, and their pain is our pain. Their dreams are our dreams; and their success will be our success.  We share one heart, one home, and one glorious destiny,” Trump said in his speech.

“When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice,” Trump stated in a part of his speech, appealing for unity during this time of division.

Trump’s “America first” message was also clear throughout the speech. Trump put the world on notice that America wasn’t going to be footing the bill for the rest of the world’s anti-American, anti-Western, anti-capitalism efforts any longer.

It took guts for Trump to stand at that podium with former President Barack Obama (don’t those four words make you smile?) mere feet behind him and highlight all of his failings.

But it sure was fun to watch.
