Small-Town Waitress Busted After Cops Find Out What She Had Hidden in 5 Different States

Many people were shocked at the news released over the weekend of a beautiful young woman caught on surveillance footage conducting armed robberies of jewelry stores all across the southern United States.

However, nobody was as shocked as the residents of the small town in which the woman lived and worked as a waitress at a Hooters and similarly styled restaurant Twin Peaks restaurant.

According to WSB-TV, the FBI arrested 24-year-old Abigail Lee Kemp on Jan. 8 in her hometown of Smyrna, Georgia, in connection with multiple armed robberies of jewelry stores across five different states.

Kemp began her spree of jewelry store heists in April of 2015 in Georgia, but eventually moved on to commit robberies in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee, ultimately stealing an estimated total of $4 million worth of jewelry.

At times, Kemp received assistance from a 35-year-old man named Lewis “Lou” Jones III, who would act as her lookout and perform crowd control on employees while she cleaned out the display cases.

Other times Kemp acted alone in her robberies, so brazen and sure of herself that she never wore a mask to hide her identity from the jewelry store surveillance cameras, though she did always wear gloves to prevent leaving any fingerprints.

Kemp now faces serious federal charges and will likely spend quite a bit of time behind bars if she is convicted of this string of armed robberies.

Sadly, this well-liked young woman exemplifies what can happen when individuals feel entitled to receive whatever they want and pay no mind to the potential consequences of their actions.
