If you’re a drunk creep on an international flight and you decide to take on a flight attendant, we here at USA Liberty News have a few pieces of advice for you. One, don’t do it. Two, if you disregard suggestion number one, make sure there aren’t any 1980s pop stars on board.
Unfortunately, one sot on board Korean Air Flight 480 found this out the hard way. After he started getting violent, he was restrained by eighties hitmaker Richard Marx, who proved that he knew how to hold on to abusive drunks in the same way he knew how to “Hold on to the Nights.”
Marx and his wife, former MTV VJ Daisy Fuentes, were flying from Hanoi to Seoul on Tuesday when the incident occurred, the Toronto Star reported.
According to ABC News, the airline said that the man had two-and-a-half shots of whiskey before he began getting violent. After he began his attack, flight attendants were considering using a taser on him, but said that they feared for the other passengers.
“(The passenger) was only initially subdued when I and a couple other male passengers intervened. He then later easily broke his restraints and attacked more crew and another passenger. When we landed in Seoul police boarded the plane,” Marx said in a Facebook post.
“Heading home to Los Angeles soon but Korean Air should be sanctioned for not knowing how to handle a situation like this without passenger interference.”
“We have video of entire chaotic and dangerous event,” he added. “My wife and I are safe but one crew member and two passengers were injured. The all-female crew was clueless and not trained as to how to restrain this (man).”

The man was eventually tied up, according to a Korean Air spokesperson, and released to police at Incheon Airport in Seoul.
As for his role in the incident, the 53-year-old Marx was humble.
“You know, anybody would’ve done the same thing. It was just chaos,” he told ABC News. “He was attacking passengers. We were trying to calm him down, he was whacked out.”
