Obama has released his last White House Christmas card, and it contains no references to Christmas.
The card features the Obama family, Barack, Michelle, Malia, and Sasha. Barack’s daughters wear Naeem Khan designed dresses, each costing $20,000.
The picture was taken at a March dinner held in honor of Canadian Prime Minister and Fidel Castro-praiser, Justin Trudeau.

Apparently, the last White House Christmas card doesn’t want to offend anyone who doesn’t celebrate Christmas by using the word ‘Christmas.’ Also, the card breaks a longstanding tradition of featuring images of the White House.
From BizPac Review:
The photo was taken in March at a state dinner honoring Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau — the first time Obama’s daughters attended a state dinner, People Magazine reported.
[…] There’s not much of a Christmas-y feel to the card, other than being framed by Christmas holly clipart.
Fittingly, Bill Clinton was the first modern president to use a family photo on a White House Christmas card in 1993. You have to go back to Franklin D. Roosevelt — another Democrat — to find another family portrait in use.
The card is headed with “Happy Holidays” and further wishes Americans “a joyous holiday season.”
Wishing “Merry Christmas” is apparently seen as more offensive for the president than a tacky frame of sufficiently non-Christmasy clip art posing in total juxtaposition to the extravagant statement of wealth found in the Obama family photo.
