The sound bites were biting the Democrats who spoke them Monday as House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Rep. Maxine Water, D-Calif. each made glaring errors in a press conference.
Pelosi was attacking President Donald Trump when something slipped out that was clearly incorrect.
“While it’s only been a couple of weeks since the inauguration, we’ve seen nothing that I can work with President Bush on,” Pelosi said.
Behind her, Waters’ face dropped as the lawmakers mumbled something to her colleagues. No one corrected Pelosi.
“I’m disappointed because I thought there might be some interest because of what he said in the campaign. It turned out to be not true, a hoax and really dangerous to economic stability of America’s working families,” Pelosi said.
Twitter was delighted.

Twitter users also rejoiced in what Waters had to say as she attacked Trump for seeking a positive relationship with Russia and Russian leader Vladimir Putin “knowing that he’s responsible for supplying the bombs that killed innocent children and families in, um, in, um …,”
An aide prompted her to mention Aleppo. Waters then continued.
“And the fact that he is wrapping his arms around Putin while Putin is continuing to advance into Korea,” Waters said.

Russia has been militarily active in Crimea, which is part of Ukraine, and not Korea.
