Maybe they’re trying to lose that “fake news” reputation.

In a stunning move this week, CNN not only reported that January’s deadly Navy SEAL raid in Yemen is paying off with information about terrorist intelligence that’s already being put to use, but even went so far as to state that the raid was a success despite other media claiming the opposite.

The article, published Thursday, seems to indicate at least a moment of fair reporting on President Donald Trump’s administration from the “Clinton News Network.”

“Several U.S. officials told CNN Thursday that the U.S. is now taking action to locate and monitor hundreds of people or ‘contacts’ found as part the intelligence retrieved during the deadly raid last month in Yemen targeting al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula,” it stated.

“Some of these people are believed to be in the West but not in the United States,” it continued.

“The government is taking action to find and monitor these AQAP-linked individuals because of the threat to Europe they may pose, the officials added.

“The fact that officials are actively pursuing leads uncovered from the raid indicates that the intelligence was indeed actionable despite some media reports to the contrary,” it stated. (Italics added.)

That’s huge.

This is the “very fake news” CNN coming out and reporting the truth, despite the extremely anti-Trump stance that the mainstream media has taken for the duration of Trump’s presidency thus far.

It might mean a white flag — that CNN will treat the president a little more fairly in the future.

Then again, they’ve got a lot to do to regain the trust of the American people.
