The man people have been calling the “next pope” has been sounding an awful lot like President-elect Donald Trump lately. He has told the truth about the Muslim immigrants overrunning Europe like locusts.
Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, Archibishop of Vienna, Austria, warned that Christians face being pushed aside by a growing Islamization of Europe and advocated putting a stop to accepting new refugees, the U.K.Express reported.
“Will there be an Islamic conquest of Europe? Many Muslims want that and say, ‘Europe is finished,”’ he told his congregation. “We are in danger of forfeiting our Christian heritage.”
His comments were made at a Sept. 12 Mass to commemorate the 1683 Battle of Vienna, when allied Christian forces defeated 90,000 Islamic invaders, Breitbart reported.
Islam’s war on the church is more than symbolic. Anytime the church mentions the violence associated with radical Islam, radical Muslims react with — you guessed it — violence.
After Pope Benedict XVI quoted a 14th century Byzantine emperor — “Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached” — an Italian nun was shot and killed by Somali Muslims in retaliation.
Muslims then firebombed five churches in the West Bank and Gaza strip. This year a French priest was murdered by the Islamic State group as he celebrated Mass.
The Catholic Church in general has been a blind advocate of mass migration, and Pope Francis has not shown leadership in the matter. Archbishop Schönborn, publicly a great admirer of Francis, certainly risked the wrath of pro-immigration clerics in the church with his comments.
With Islam being the world’s fastest-growing religion and with half of the world’s Christians being Catholic, according to the Catholic Education Resource Center, it is essential that the next pope be a voice of reason and an advocate for the protection of religious and cultural standards.
