Newt Gingrich Thinks Dems Should Be Investigated for Russian Collusion

For weeks, the liberal media have been pushing the narrative that somehow President Donald Trump colluded with the Russians to steal the 2016 presidential election from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — despite having no evidence to back them up.

On Sunday, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich appeared on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” where he slammed the efforts of the Democrats investigating the Russian hacking scandal and suggested they should take a different approach, Fox News reported.

“All of the real evidence of real money and real influence-buying by the Russians relates to Democrats,” Gingrich stated.

Despite the lack of coverage, Gingrich’s statement is 100 percent accurate. There were numerous ties between Clinton and Russia (remember the failed reset attempts?) that the media have barely even mentioned.

Gingrich pointed out that former Clinton campaign manager John Podesta’s brother is a “registered agent” for a Russian bank — yet another potential conflict of interest ignored by the folks in the liberal media.

“There’s no evidence that anybody was particularly being purchased on the Republican side … (The investigation should) be about the degree to which the U.S. is penetrated with efforts to corrupt our society and to purchase influence,” Gingrich explained.

Any attempts by Russia to influence our democracy should be treated seriously. That means that Democrats and Republicans alike should be investigated for their potential ties to Russia.

Just because Democrats are upset they lost doesn’t give them the right to ignore potentially damning evidence about Clinton and Russia.

There is far more evidence connecting Clinton to Russia than there is evidence connecting Trump to Russia. If Congress wants to investigate Russia, they need to investigate both candidates in order to have a fair investigation.
