New Arizona Sheriffs Terrifying Plan Revealed We Need Sheriff Joe Back NOW

We sure miss former Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Soon, the residents of Maricopa County, Arizona, will too. Known for making one of the largest and most populous counties in the U.S. a very uncomfortable place for illegal aliens, Arpaio has been replaced by a guy who calls illegals “guests.”

Sheriff Paul Penzone, elected last year after Arpaio’s 24 years at the helm, announced last week that Maricopa County would no longer cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement by detaining criminal illegal aliens for deportation, according to Judicial Watch.

Federal authorities have begun cracking down on illegal immigration under the Trump administration, but on an average day, Penzone has released 40 criminal illegal immigrants to the streets, Judicial Watch reported, for a total of about 400 in the past 10 days.

Maricopa County’s longstanding courtesy arrangement was to notify ICE of the pending release of illegal immigrants with Arizona state criminal charges. Under “Sheriff Joe” Apraio, Maricopa County accounted for more ICE holds than any other county in the U.S., The Arizona Republic reported in 2013.

The holds allowed ICE officials to arrest often-violent criminals in the secure confines of the jail, minimizing risk to the officers’ safety and ensuring deportation of the criminals who — need we say it? — are breaking federal law by being here in the first place.

Penzone has instead begun releasing them to commit further mayhem against American citizens. It is worth noting that illegal immigrants — that’s right, people who can’t vote — were instrumental in grassroots efforts to oust Arpaio and elect Penzone, according to The Washington Times.

Penzone informed the media that due to the threat of litigation (that would be a non-American, here illegally, claiming his American rights were violated), the county could no longer detain anyone after their scheduled release time, regardless of immigration status.

What a bunch of baloney.

Penzone explained his decision at a news conference on Friday, according to KSAZ in Phoenix.

“At the point when the courts advise us when we have a legal obligation to release them from our custody, ICE will get the notification if it’s someone they have an interest in whether to speak to them further or address them through their authority, and as we take the process to release them from our custody, ICE will have the opportunity to impose their authority on that individual. We no longer have the authority,” Penzone said.

This means that ICE officers will have to pick off illegal immigrants from the sidewalk, something that puts their safety at risk as well as that of the illegal immigrants in question.
