Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions was finally confirmed as America’s next attorney general on Wednesday night after a long and brutal battle with Democrats who seem to think that anyone from the South is simply a born racist.
The NAACP in particular has been opposed to Sessions. However, they didn’t always oppose the man. Just a few years ago a local chapter of the NAACP gave him an award!
Sessions was given the Governmental Award for Excellence by the NAACP in 2009. If he were such a wild racist, as they have recently claimed, why on earth would they give him an award?

“Apparently (NAACP President Cornell Brooks) doesn’t stay in contact with the NAACP chapter in Alabama,” Graham explained. “Most of the things said about Jeff Sessions and the way he acted as a senator could be said about almost all of us on this side who consider themselves conservative.”
“Sen. Sessions’ record suggests that he will carry on an old, ugly legacy in this country’s history when civil rights for African-Americans, women and minorities were not regarded as core American values,” the statement read.
“Whether Sen. Sessions, with decades of failing grades on the NAACP’s report card, possesses a racial vision and commitment to justice is in serious question,” the statement continued.
Well, it looks like the NAACP now gives awards to people with failing grades on their report cards. They really should figure out what exactly they are standing for before they humiliate themselves even more with public statements.
Sessions’ record speaks for itself. These outraged liberals, who are opposing people like Sessions simply out of partisan hatred, are going to be quite disappointed in a few years when Sessions hasn’t done all the horrible things they are predicting he will do.
