Muslim Clock Boy Has His Lawsuit Dismissed by Federal Court

Great news: “Clock Boy” Ahmed Mohamed just got his clock cleaned Tuesday in court by a district judge who dismissed his defamation suits against several news stations and prominent pundits.

As noted by the American Freedom Law Center, Mohamed filed the suit last September in what senior counselor David Yerushalmi argued was an attempt to silence anyone who dared to criticize the boy or connect his actions to radical Islam.

If you recall, in 2015 the boy brought a so-called clock that looked like a bomb to his school, thus inadvertently triggering concerns of potential terrorist behavior. He was subsequently interrogated and taken into policy custody but later released after it was determined he had no malicious intent, as reported at the time by CNN.

Instead of just disappearing into the sunset after the ordeal, however, the boy chose to make a big stink about the alleged Islamophobia he experienced. This despite a litany of evidence having shown that both his school and the authorities had been 100 percent right to be concerned about his suspicious clock.

Fast-forward to September of 2016, when he and his family filed a suit claiming that the defendants had made “false statements” on TV “accusing Ahmed Mohamed and his family of being terrorists or ‘jihadists,’” according to The Washington Post.

Unluckily for them, District Court Judge Maricela Moore did not buy his phony argument, and for good reason: His attorney was unable to provide a single piece of evidence showing that any of the defendants had ever said anything false or defamatory about the boy or his family.

Nice try, though.

There was a bit of bad news, though. The ruling Tuesday only applied to the suit against The Center for Security Policy, TheBlaze, Glenn Beck, Jim Hanson and a local Fox television affiliate.

Suits were still pending against Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne, Ben Ferguson, Ben Shapiro and NW Communications of Texas, as reported by KXAS, though these were expected to be dismissed as well.

Here’s a hint for the kid: If by any chance you have any interest in adapting to American life and culture, then I strongly suggest you study up on the First Amendment, stat.
