Mike Pence Becomes First Sitting VP Ever to Attend March for Life

President Donald Trump has been making so much news lately that we almost missed the incredible history Vice President Mike Pence would be making Friday.

The March for Life announced Thursday that Pence had agreed to speak at the organization’s annual march in Washington to protest the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion.

Fox News reported that the March for Life said in a statement that neither a president nor a vice president has ever spoken at the event, meaning not only would Pence be making history, he would have done it while speaking on behalf of the unborn.

President of the March for Life, Jeanne Mancini, said the vice president was “a friend and champion of the pro-life cause his entire career.” She also posted to Twitter that it was an honor to have him speak.

Trump White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, a mother of four, was also scheduled to speak at the event.

The New York Times reported that former Presidents Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush addressed demonstrators during the march while they served in the White House, but did so by telephone rather than actually attending in person.

Pence’s presence at the huge rally would speak volumes. For too many years, the unborn haven’t received enough attention. Their silent voices are ignored while the left has killed them and even sold their mutilated parts for cash.

It’s such a nice change to have people in the White House who will stand up for the most innocent among us, and we couldn’t be more happy that Vice President Pence has taken the time to speak at the march.
