Martha Raddatz Receives Huge Backlash For Biased Debate Moderation

ABC News moderator Martha Raddatz is taking heat for the way she handled the presidential debate, being accused of showing bias and favoritism towards the pro-Hillary Clinton crowd.

Raddatz had multiple spars with Republican nominee Donald Trump throughout the night: she cut him off in the beginning while he was answering a question about the recently leaked 2005 tape and, at one point, actually debated with him over military strategy.

Many who were watching weighed in, noting the debate was not a fair fight.

Perhaps the most memorable moment occurred about halfway through the debate when Raddatz questioned Trump repeatedly on military strategy in Syria.

“Mr. Trump, let me repeat the question. If you were president, what would you do about Syria and the humanitarian crisis in Aleppo?” she asked. “And I want to remind you what your running mate said. He said provocations by Russia need to be met with American strength and that if Russia continues to be involved in air strikes along with the Syrian government forces of Assad, the United States of America should be prepared to use military force to strike the military targets of the Assad regime.”

Fox News counted six separate Raddatz interruptions in that question, and during one exchange she countered every response Trump had:

Trump: “Why do they have to say we’re going to be attacking Mosul within the next four to six weeks, which is what they’re saying? How stupid is our country?

Raddatz: There are sometimes reasons the military does that. Psychological warfare.

Trump: I can’t think of any. I can’t think of any. And I’m pretty good at it.

Raddatz: It might be to help get civilians out.

Trump pointed out the one-sidedness after CNN’s Anderson Cooper refused to ask Clinton about her private email scandal.

“Nice, one-on-three,” Trump said after Cooper ignored his question.

  1. One on three, Trump nailed it. These debates are so ridiculously biased and skewed. When are we going to DEMAND unbiased moderators?? And even with the deck stacked against him Trump triumphed. I will be PROUD to call him my President.
