Man Kicks Down Ex-Girlfriend’s Door, Gets Promptly Beaten to a Pulp

When this thug kicked down his ex-girlfriend’s door, he didn’t expect the huge surprise coming his way. Now when he looks in the mirror, he will be reminded not to try something like this ever again. Lesson painfully learned.

Raleigh, North Carolina, resident Matthew Lawrence Bergstedt, 27, reportedly tried to break down the backdoor of his ex-girlfriend’s apartment on Monday evening.

His motivation was unclear, however what he was hit with made it crystal clear that he would not be accomplishing whatever additional crime he had planned on committing.

Inside of the apartment was a 20-year-old man, and when the young man saw Bergstedt break through the door, he hit him hard in the face with a piece of firewood.

Bergstedt reportedly then retreated from the scene of the crime — smart move, that — and ran into a vacant apartment where he was picked up by Raleigh police and taken to the Wake County jail.

According to WTVD, Bergstedt was subsequently charged with misdemeanor counts of breaking and entering and attempted breaking and entering.

He was released on Tuesday morning after posting a $3,000 bail.

Bergstedt learned a painful lesson that day. Take a look at his mugshot below, courtesy of Wake County jail.

This thug should definitely think twice before ever attempting to break and enter again. He will probably have flashbacks of firewood hitting his face for the foreseeable future. And he earned them.
