Kaepernick Has Monumentally Bad Day, Gets Benched in Middle of Game

The quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, Colin Kaepernick, has continued to make news over the past few days by praising recently deceased Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, as well as continuing to kneel for the national anthem at football games.

Opponents of Kaepernick got a little bit of good news on Sunday when Kaepernick played so horribly that he had to be benched during the game, The Daily Caller reported.

Kaepernick finished his time in the game with a measly four yards passing. Even worse, he took five sacks, which cost his team 25 yards. That’s right: more sacks than passing yards.

USA Today reported that no decision had been made regarding Kaepernick‘s duties next week — though I suspect many people would love to see him benched again.

“We haven’t had any discussions about it,” coach Chip Kelly explained. “It was my decision to make and (I) made a move to see if we can get a spark and to see where we were. At that point of time of the game we were down a couple of scores and obviously we got throw it to see if we can get a spark for the team.”

The 49ers ended up losing badly to the Chicago Bears, 26-6.

Kaepernick was quite surprised that he got benched during the game, NFL.com noted. Perhaps he was too blinded by his own arrogance to see that he kinda sorta wasn’t doing really well.

“I was surprised. It wasn’t something I expected,” Kaepernick stated.

Fox News noted that this was the first time in NFL history that a quarterback was both sacked five times and threw for less than five yards in a game.

Perhaps Kaepernick should focus more on being a decent football player (if that’s possible) and leave the protesting to people who actually know what they are talking about.
