Judge Who Partially Blocked Trumps Immigration Ban Tied to Clinton Obama

The media have certainly had one heck of a weekend. The reaction to President Donald Trump’s executive order barring immigration from several Middle Eastern countries has had media folks foaming at the mouth.

As usual, about 80 percent of what the media have reported was either completely wrong, deliberately distorted or omitted key facts necessary for understanding what had actually happened.

One piece of information that the media seemingly forget to report involved the federal judge who was praised as a hero after imposing a temporary stay on part of Trump’s executive order, The Daily Caller reported.

Judge Ann Donnelly of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, who issued the ruling preventing the deportation of people who were already at airports when Trump’s order was signed, was actually appointed by President Barack Obama.

In addition to that, Donnelly contributed $250 to President Bill Clinton’s campaign and $500 to Obama’s campaign, and was recommended by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

Of course our mainstream media friends wouldn’t dare report any of this. It might cause people to question whether her ruling was actually objective or whether she simply saw her chance to gain fame by standing up to Trump.

While the media jumped for joy over her ruling and proclaimed that she was blocking all of Trump’s executive order, in reality she was blocking only a small portion of it, The Washington Times reported.

Donnelly’s ruling affected only people who had arrived in the U.S. immediately after Trump’s executive order went into effect — people who were probably already in the air when Trump signed the order.

NPR noted that the ruling applied only to a little more than 100 people who had been detained at airports — a far cry from some of the numbers being tossed about on liberal websites.

While Trump’s executive order may have caused a short-term mess in some places, ultimately, it was just the first step in making sure America is safer and that the people we let into this country aren’t going to harm us.
